There were fewer fare dodgers in January than in December

Statistics of „Rīgas satiksme” about ticket inspections in January 2016:

Number of fare dodgers fined in public transport:
Trams	1162
Trolleybuses	1677
Buses	2529
Total:	5368
including:
Fine receipts	1221
Fine bills	4147

It is by 1225 fare dodgers less than in December 2015 when 6593 passengers were fined for fare dodging in public transport.

Number of ticket inspections in public transport:
Trams	3972
Trolleybuses	7348
Buses	10450
Total:	21770

Just to compare – there were 30593 ticket inspections in December 2015, which is by 8823 inspections less than in January 2016.

In January 2016, the maximum number of passengers (470) was fined for fare dodging on trolleybus route No. 15, and the minimum number on bus route No. 20 (0).
